Harry Potter and I share the same birthday so this year I thought I would share a little Harry Potter Origami. Below is a video that tells you how to fold and origami dementor from the Harry Potter books and movie. You can look at my collection of other Harry Potter Origami if you would like some easy options. Until recently I kept forgetting that my birthday and his were the same day. But it seems like celebrating his birthday has practically become a national summer holiday –Oh my word can you believe the lines at Universal Studio Wizarding World of Harry Potter on his birthday. Oh my word would I love to go there that day. Best birthday ever, right? More about that after video instructions.

This origami is a medium level origami like my Tangled Suns, so be patient with yourself. This is the best part about videos of origami you can pause, rewind and watch things again and again until you get the right folds. It took me time to learn and it will take you time too. We can’t all be Hermione Granger. And thank goodness for that.
When to fold a Harry Potter Origami Dementor?
On Harry’s birthday of course! July 31st. Or on Halloween. Or at a harry potter themed birthday party. Do not fold while driving.
What does Universal Studios do for Harry Potter’s Birthday?
I will be honest I haven’t been on that particular day (but I really want to). Far as I can tell the celebration of Harry Potter is in January. There is a new Cinematic Celebration over the lagoon as of this year 2018. But it’s not specific to Harry Potter.
Universal Studios Orlando does like people to celebrate their birthday at the resort. Soooooo when I go on my birthday I am totally doing that. I want a birthday button! A Birthday Button on Harry Potter’s birthday! For now I will settle for a Harry Potter origami dementor.
