When I received my invitation to M.O.A.B.S. The Mother of All Baby Showers, I couldn’t wait to attend. The Mother of All Baby Showers is celebrating their 5th year. This event is geared toward expectant parents and new parents while parents of teenagers like myself feel included. While Amy couldn’t be in attendance because she’s very pregnant and her doctor said no, we still felt like she was there with us.If you want to learn important things about parenting, such as car seat safety, etc, love connecting with other moms to be and new moms, enjoy pampering and checking out the latest and greatest on the baby market, then the Mother of All Baby Showers is the place to be.

The 2017 kick-off event is the Luxe Edition of the Mother of All Baby Showers and was held at the Sheridan in Tysons Corner, Virginia.

Cravings Fulfilled

As soon as we arrived there were drinks from La Croix and Honest Tea. We also got some wonderful snacks from Randy Cakes and Pretzel Crisps. Pretzel Crisps now has Fruit Sticks. Don’t forget they fed us dinner with an assortment of meats, cheeses, fruits and crackers as well as Alfredo Pasta or Pesto Pasta. I wasn’t expecting dinner and was quite excited about this.

All attendees received complimentary hand massages, hair styling and mini makeup makeovers provided by Aveda.

Educational Speakers

Our keynote speaker was the lovely Maria Bailey, who is the Co-Founder of Mother Nurture, who was there displaying her products to us, but also the host of MomTalk Radio. She talked to us about how to be savvy in a marketplace with so many options.

We also got to hear from Allana Pinkerton, Diono’s Global Safety Advocate and Certified Child Passenger Safety Instructor, who shared with us some wonderful tips about car seat safety.

I live between our Nation's Capital and North Carolina, love daisies, giraffes, purple, polka dots, Diet Mountain Dew, Doritos, and guns. Not necessarily in that order. I know that I’m very unoriginal and fit most cliches. I won’t try to deny it if you ask me. Ill-advised, indiscreet, and injudicious individuals infuriate I.
