This is one of the quickest and easiest things to make.  And the fresh pureed hummus is warm-ish and so delicious with dippers.  You’ll want to eat the whole homemade hummus recipe.

Homemade Hummus Recipe

So good made rather than bought.  Less expensive and delicious when you ad different flavors to it.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of garbanzo beans rinsed and drained
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cloves of garlic crushed
  • 3 Tbsp tahini sesame paste
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp cold water
  • More water to thin as needed

Instructions

  1. Place all the items in a food processor. Whirl until smooth.
  2. Scrape down sides if it all sticks to the edge, and add another tablespoon of water.
  3. Once the beans are all pulverized and the hummus is smooth you can eat it right away (my favorite) or store for about a week in a sealed container in the fridge.

Recipe Notes

Use it to make the Hummus Appetizer Plate
