Finding products that are all natural, work and made in small batches — easy to do when visiting farmers markets. If you can’t make it to a farmer’s market, check out Original Good Goods.

I came across Original Good Goods totally by accident. My husband and I were at the product launch of the Novogratz Rug line in LA. This guy turns to my husband and goes “I know you.” Long story short, 20 yrs ago they used to drink in NYC together with a mutual friend. We all started talking and Courtney and I got on the subject of what do you do? She started talking about Good Goods and why it was important to her and I kept nodding my head in agreement.

Blown away just by our conversation, I knew I had to check the product out. They sent me a couple of things and for the last few weeks, I have been putting it to the test.

What you won’t find in their products:  Parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, fragrances, silicones, propylene glycol, sulfates, dyes, MEA, EDTA,TEA

They are upfront on the labels and list exactly what IS IN the product.

ORANGE BLOSSOM CREAMSICLE BATH WASH

Luckily, I got a picture of the full bottle because we loved this bath wash. When I say we, I should say my son. He tried it first and didn’t really want to share with me. I did get to try a bit. He was a bit more crazy over the scent then I was. The sweet smell kinda is implied with the name — creamsicle bath. Since it is all natural, there is a lack of lather. A lather doesn’t always mean you’re clean. I promise you my son came out of the bath really clean and smelling “delicious” (his wording).

INGREDIENTS : Purified Water, Coconut Oil*, Sunflower Seed Oil *, Castor Seed Oil*, Olive Oil*, Kosher Vegetable, Glycerin, Jojoba Oil, Guar Gum, Vanilla Absolute, Clementine EO**, Wild Orange EO**, Citric Acid, Rosemary Seed Extract.
*CERTIFIED ORGANIC, ** ESSENTIAL OIL

SPRITZ OF LAVENDER SPRAY LOTION

This stuff is amazing. You spritz and just the right amount comes out. No more too much lotion. No more wasting good lotion. The scent is very light which is what I like for my lotions. It is easy to rub in. Used it straight for two weeks.

Just spritz with the easy to use spray pump and in no time you’ll be basking in a calming blend of lavender, olive oil, and aloe vera. But the pump isn’t the only thing that makes this perfect for the kiddos. It’s also great for moisturizing on-the-go. This light, very mild mist moisturizer rubs in easily. So, all you have to do is give the pump a push, rub in the lotion, and repeat whenever your skin needs to be naturally soothed and hydrated. It’s what we in the business like to call a skin win.

BATH BOMB

Who doesn’t love a little quiet time in the bathtub — I love time alone to soak with a bath bomb. This one is jam-packed with natural ingredients like baking soda to regulate your pH levels and gently soothe your skin. Thing is I never got to try it. My five-year old son took it for his bath. He loved it. Smelled good and his skin was all good.

SWEET MINT LIP BALM:

My husband snagged the lip balm. He is a lip balm lover which means he has purchased a lot and thrown out those he doesn’t like. His words, it goes on nicely but does not feel greasy. Soaks into the lips.

Social Sarah

Who ever thought I would call myself Social Sarah, especially after I became a mom. Reality check...being social is more than just being glamours. I am closer to 40. These years have allowed me to travel to many European cities, India and Turkey. Lived in Dublin, Ireland both as a graduate student and beyond. Born and raised New Yorker with Southern roots. Best lesson I ever learned-- ladies do not get called "You guys" it is always "Y'all". Something I have lived with all my life -- sever dyslexia and ADHD. Many tutors later and deep thoughts, I have learned to push myself and understand my limitations. I grew up with two entrepreneur parents. I have lived through their successes and their failures. A few years back I started my own blog under WifeMotherDaughterSelf. It took a back seat after my father feel and had major brain surgery. I am the andDesign Editor for Rug News andDesign, a family business around rugs and home. Throw in a dog named Ophelia, who may or may not be a goldendoodle, a surfing snowboarding loving husband and an energetic fun loving son, you would think I had my hands full. My mantra is the 4 pillars -- Friendship, Love, Honesty and Trust. Some call me crunchy. Most say I am a good listener. Many say I throw a great party but all say I am a great friend, adventure and researcher.
