Mushroom Elk Meatballs

A great way to add moisture, flavor and nutrients and cutting the fat in a burger

Servings 48 meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb white button or domestic mushrooms, chopped finely
  • 2 lbs ground elk  meat
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp parsely
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • ¾ cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Dump everything in a mixer or bowl and incorporate it all together.
  2. Make 1 ½ inch balls of all the meat mixture
  3. Place on  a greased baking sheet (you’ll need 2)
  4. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
  5. Serve with your favorite condiment or sauce.
