The above are some really easy and cute ways to talk with your children about vulnerable species and endangered species with your children. The Panda was just moved to vulnerable status from endangered status in September of 2016. To think that an animal that has roamed the earth for 2 million to 3 million years could become extinct in our lifetime was heartbreaking. It’s great that the panda is one step further away from extinction but, animals like the Eastern gorilla are now listed as critically endangered, which is one step away from extinction, due mainly to poaching.

Do your part to educate our children and go see Disneynature’s Born in China opening week (April 21-April 27, 2017), and Disneynature will make a donation in your honor of $.20 per ticket to World Wildlife Fund (WWF-US) through the Disney Conservation Fund, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $100,000 to benefit wild pandas and snow leopards.

Information concerning WWF-US can be obtained, without cost, by writing to World Wildlife Fund, P.O. Box 97180 Washington, DC 20090-7180, or emailing: membership@wwfus.org. The ticket purchase is not tax deductible.

I live between our Nation's Capital and North Carolina, love daisies, giraffes, purple, polka dots, Diet Mountain Dew, Doritos, and guns. Not necessarily in that order. I know that I’m very unoriginal and fit most cliches. I won’t try to deny it if you ask me. Ill-advised, indiscreet, and injudicious individuals infuriate I.
