You know that moment when you find a party (on pinterest of course) that has everything you ever wanted in a party? That moment happened last year when I was looking for ideas for  my first #DisneySide @ Home Celebration. I was searching for a way to incorporate Disneyland into my party when I found the mother of all Disneyland parties thrown by Million Dollar $mile Celebrations! I absolutely fell in love…but I did not even know where to start with recreating the amazing party that was in front of me, so I put it on the back burner with the thought that someday I’d give it a shot.

This year, I was so excited to have another chance to throw a Disney Side @Home Celebration! I was sent this huge box of party goodies with all of the things I’d need to throw an amazing Disney party.  Right away, I got in touch with an amazingly creative (and resourceful) friend of mine: Courtney, aka Fave Mom…yep, you know her! I sent her a link to my “pinspiration” that I had found last year and as luck would have it, she was all too familiar with the party and Nicole, the woman who threw it! “It’s a Small World after all!” Not long after I mentioned the party, I received an email with some of the very same printables from the Million Dollar $mile Celebrations Disneyland themed party! Courtney made me some matching water bottle labels as well! I now had all of the decorations I needed to throw a fun Disneyland themed #DisneySide celebration for all of my friends!

Of course a Disneyland themed party would not be complete without DISNEYLAND FOOD!!! I included some of my favorites on the party menu, but I did not include churros. While they are my favorite, I have to say that small children and a churro covered in loose sugar did not sound like a good combination of things to have running around my living room! There were still plenty of other Disneyland foods to to choose from, like:

Little Red Wagon corn dogs

the best snickerdoodles EVER from Pooh Corner

popcorn, because no trip to Disneyland is complete without it

pickles, a Main Street USA staple

Mint Juleps and waters

and rock candy  and taffy in a Disneyland mug!

I also served up some oranges as a way to remember the orange groves that once stood on Disneyland property, and apples….because “apples and oranges,” that’s why.

I also had to include a little piece of Walt Disney World since our family had just went on our first trip there in September! I thought I’d recreate some of the Cinnamon Glazed Almonds that we found at Magic Kingdom park to share with our guests.

Any good party has some great party favors! My guests got to take home some ABC Family reusable totes filled with a customizable “Family Tree of Life” poster, HP Create Memories You Keep Packs of photo paper, Disney parks luggage tags, Twinings Tea, and Disney Princess Nail Polish.  I made some Disney savings jars for my guests, too! This is a very easy and cute craft. Take a mason jar, cut a Mickey shape out of vinyl, stick it on the jar, wrap it with ribbon, stuff it with it with colorful tissue paper, and you’re ready to save for your next Disneyland trip!

My multi-generational Disney Side @ Home Celebrations kit  was filled with fun party games for the whole family!

There was bingo (with candy markers, of course)

and pin (tape) the smile on Mickey.

The adults also got to join in the fun with a Disney trivia game! Of course the games had to have prizes! Our prizes included all mighty packs with oxi, Wisk and Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki sauce.

The kids also had a great time in the photo booth with our fun Disney props…and so did the adults!

The party was a huge success! Thanks to everyone who came over and let out their #DisneySide! Thank you to Courtney here at for connecting me with the most magical Disneyland party printables of all, and for making the matching water bottle labels! A big thanks to Nicole at Million Dollar $mile Celebrations for giving me permission to use your Disneyland printables for my party! And last but not least,  thanks to Mom Select and the Disney Parks team for choosing me to show my #DisneySide and for all of your hard work on this fun event!

Want to throw your own party to show your Disney side? You’re in luck! You can find everything you need for a Disney Side @ Home Celebration on their website!

If you’re thinking of planning a Disney vacation, the Disney Parks website is a wealth of information for trip planning and for learning more more about the parks. Also be sure to follow the Disney Parks on Twitter @DisneyParks and the Disneyland Resort @Disneyland to learn about all of the magical happenings at the parks!

I live between our Nation's Capital and North Carolina, love daisies, giraffes, purple, polka dots, Diet Mountain Dew, Doritos, and guns. Not necessarily in that order. I know that I’m very unoriginal and fit most cliches. I won’t try to deny it if you ask me. Ill-advised, indiscreet, and injudicious individuals infuriate I.
